Mirador del Río is one of Lanzarote’s most breathtaking viewpoints, perched 475 meters high on the Risco de Famara cliffs in the island’s north. Designed in the 1970s by the visionary local artist César Manrique, the viewpoint blends seamlessly into the volcanic rock, with curved forms, whitewashed walls, and large panoramic windows. From here, visitors enjoy spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and the small Chinijo Archipelago, including the island of La Graciosa. Combining architecture, art, and nature, Mirador del Río is both a cultural landmark and one of the most unforgettable spots on the island.
